TALE 21 - Perfect 3...

Honey... She said can I please have pancakes right now?
He looked at the watch with droopy eyes...
2 am...

You've got it babe, he said with a melting smile

A few mins later he carried her in his arms to the dinning table...
Here you are, he said...
Hot pancakes with a vanilla icecream scoop and chocolate drizzle...
Here have it, said he lovingly feeding her every spoon with immense joy n warmth
He again carried her to bed, this time to hold her; placing their hands on her huge belly,

to sing a song she loved to hear...

"Two steps behind" he hummed gently as he made her sleep
Covering her with a quilt,he proudly saw the gorgeous glow that she had got...
He ensured every night that her socks were on, to keep her warm and the back support pillows were in place
Some nights he would read out to her, sometimes short stories, at times poems...
Some nights were meant for songs
Some for instrumental music that they both loved The Harp
She knit tiny booties and a cape n he helped her select her the color...
Daisy yellow n white wool, they said...
Would be perfect for a both a girl or a boy...
He cheerfully painted her toe nails knowing that she liked looking pretty but couldn't do it herself because of the growing belly...

They would go for short walks in the outdoors just enough to keep her active...

He took care of every other thing in the house...

She was allowed to have icecream for breakfast and asking for soup after dinner was alright...
Pregger cravings were well taken care off...
Her wishes were fulfilled to the T
Midnight demands were,
Cookies with milk, hot chocolate with marshmallows, waffles with maple syrup n cream, caramel custard, soufflé...
Her list was endless...
And so was his love...
For her and for their tiny little unborn bundle of joy...
It was a dreamy blissful heavenly period for both...
He was on a leave for her final trimester to give her company...
She was thrilled n relaxed on having him in these final months...
Yes he was an army man
No nothing dramatic happened...
Neither was he called for war at the time of delivery...
Nor did she die at childbirth...
The journey had an equally beautiful outcome...
A bonny healthy baby girl...
And what a perfect family it was...
Proud parents and one lucky baby...
A happy mushy sweet tale of joy...
Isn't it???
