Tale 62

It was a happy family of four...
Perfect in every sense...
Elder son younger daughter,
Father in an MNC as a CEO and mother holding a MBA in finance who gave up her corporate job to look after kids...
Her entire world revolved round them...
Right from her pregnancy she enjoyed every bit of the creative process...
Recording the very first's of her babies...
Being there for every prize's that they won and standing by them for each competition they lost gave her a sense of completeness...
She was so involved in their all round development that there never felt a need to have any me time for herself...
Right from their teething, toilet training, hair cuts, introduction of solids, their nutrition, their immunization, their sleeping patterns and their play time schedules; this Mum had it all covered...
She was super sensitive to their behaviour changes and got extremely upset in their sickness...
She was control freak of sorts but no one dared question her attitude...
She got busy dropping the elder son to school while giving the younger girl her pram stroll in their apartment compound...
Then she'd pick him up after school after she d put the baby girl to sleep after her feeds...
Then would give lunch to the elder one while preparing the younger ones next feed....
While the elder one napped she'd feed the younger baby and then take both of them to the park...
As they grew the schedules got even more tight...
Studies, tuitions, school, extra curricular classes, co curricular activities...
The son played football while the daughter joined chess classes...
Son started training for vocal classical music while daughter started leaning Kuchipudi dance...
Both of them were enrolled in swimming camps, language classes, art and craft activities and drama workshops in vacations.
She had an exclusive driver for herself n the kids..
The kids were brilliant...
The son went in for engineering.
He got into a renowned college thanks to his excellent marks in entrance and 12th...
He wanted a bike as a gift on his 18 th birthday...
His father convinced him to drive a car instead of a bike but he refused...
Young blood and raging adrenaline...
He was thrilled to ride on his 'mean machine'...
The younger daughter was in 10th...
Exactly two months after his 18 th birthday...
He got killed in a late night accident while on his bike...
It was sheer bad luck that the bike skid and rammed onto divider and got run over by a car coming from the other side...
The family was shattered...
More so the mother went into a shock...
Their doctor suggested an IVF so that she could re-experience a baby...
They now have a baby girl 3 years old and the elder daughter pursuing Graduation in psychology...
The loss never got filled up...
Their heart remain empty and yearning for loss...
Just that the mother has some more years getting busy in doing what she does best,  nurturing...
Of grief and new beginning...
Of emptiness and being busy...
Some tales bring a tear and a sigh...
