morning raga....

i realised the extent to which we ve become slaves to the technology.... as i complete my morning walk today without my earphones.... i notice innumerable things and events dat take place all around me.... early in the morning..... my earphones crashed and i had to go 4 a morning walk today without any music. thanks to the sony ericsson precision.... their cell accessories never fail to fail....hehehe..... i dreaded walking without fm or my mp3 player but alas i was left with no option. reluctantly i started off walking and realised dat i was missing out on soooooooooooo much.....

initially i felt bored with less ppl around at 5.30 in d morn. but as the sun rised so did the people and activities. the newspaper walas flinging the paper bunches in the flats, milkmen carefully placing the over priced thailas on the flat safety door hung polythenes, the juice men selling inexpensive karela and spinach ras expensively for health conscious walkers, the water motor being started by the watchmen, the security changing gtheir shifts, the cars being washed by the watchmen as their part time jobs adding up to their monthly earning, the local chai wala tapri brewing hot steamin cuppas for the chilled out walkers...

the taxi n rickshaw walas washing their vehicles and lighting over zealous super fragrant agarbattis, the aajis plucking flowers for the morning pujas, the kamwala bais going for their work, the tubelights from house kitchens and darkness from bedrooms gave a monocromatic pattern.... the over sized uncles walking in groups discussing the downfall of sensex n shares, the even more over sized aunties sharing gossips and filmy gupshups and parlour tips and recepies and saas bahu soap discussions and kids study problems etc etc etc. the mother in laws exchanging notes to harress their daughter in laws and the latter ones doing the same plotting against the former in groups....

the yummy mummies trying hardest to maintain their figures by running like crazy women on street as if they were chased by tigers.....the svetle teens sweating it out by brisk walks to catch with the trends, the gymming crowd with their gym bags going for their early morning workout, the night shift call centre generation return ing back after a slaughter in their work place all droppy eyed and snoozed, some fat assed young lads trotting on the road on their way to health and making up the lost cals by hogging down at the local farsan wala.....hahaha. the school buses, the ever tired parents with their even more sleepy kids running in for catching tthe school bus.

well, in all this hustle bustle, where did i mention the cool morning breeze, the chirping birds, the sleepy dogs after an awakened nightshift, the cuckoos cooing as the spring breaks in, the shades of jade as the green trees play hide n seek of colours of new blossom..... ahh.......dats when i realise , its MUMBAI.... ;-D
